What We Offer
The Atlanta Scholars Kollel is a group of 22 rabbis and their families who dedicate their lives to inspiring the Jewish community in greater Atlanta. After a morning of rigorous Talmud study, some of the rabbis spread throughout Atlanta offering text learning, topical discussions, social events and experiential learning opportunities for high schoolers, college students, young professionals, and adults. We engage the interested and uninterested, the affiliated and unaffiliated, beginners and advanced scholars, men, women, and young people. You do not need any Hebrew reading skills or learning background to participate.

Young Adult

College
College life is fast and busy, and you’d think the last thing a college student would want is a chance to learn Torah. But Rabbi Fleshel at Emory and our staff of rabbis at Georgia Tech and UGA are engaging hundreds of college students in a Jewish journey

High School
Rabbi Dave Silverman goes to 5 area high schools to engage freshman through seniors. It’s a casual, drop in, discussion format. Students can even try to do homework while the rabbi is dancing around the room trying to get a response.

- Pizza and snacks depending on the time of day
- No background or Jewish affiliation necessary
- Topics: Ethics, Jewish Law, Israel, the meaning of Holidays, what it means to be Jewish
Israelis
Rabbi Yossi and Malka Vakrat moved from Israel to connect with Israelis here in Atlanta. They are creating a sense of mishpacha for all the Israelis near and far.
- Torah study groups for singles, young families, men, women and teens
