Atlanta Jewish Young Professionals Heritage Program

 

Please consider joining a dynamic opportunity to learn more about Judaism: the Jewish Heritage Program.

 

TWO LOCATIONS & NIGHTS!

 

Program 1: In Dunwoody - Monday nights

 

Rabbi Daniel Freitag will be leading a biweekly study group for young Jewish singles (20-35) who want to expand their Jewish knowledge.

There is a limited number of participants (around 20) so register soon! 


Cost for the program will be $50 for the entire series - Includes hot dinner.  Scholarships are available for those who need.

 

While the program is geared for singles 20-35, an occasional exception can be made for someone already 'coupled'. 

 

Meets Mondays at 7pm in the Kollel Dome - 5237 Tilly Mill Rd. - Dunwoody

Program 2: In Toco Hills - Wednesday nights

 

Rabbi Dave Silverman will be teaching a biweekly study group for young adults (20-35) who want to expand their Jewish knowledge base. 


It involves making a commitment to attend 11 Wednesday night classes and a Shabbat experience. There are a limited number of participants. 

 

The program is free and snacks are provided. 


Details: The class meets the first and third Wednesday night for 6 months from November - March for 1 hr15 minute sessions 


7:15 – 8:30 PM – 1368 Holly Lane, Atlanta GA 30329 and includes a Shabbat experience in a local venue

1) Details:

 

  • Classes are scheduled to begin in October-November  2010 

  • Bi-weekly - program will likely be from 8 - 10 sessions

  • Optional subsidized Summer retreats in NY and California

2) Participation:

  • Due to limited space, placement is not guaranteed until you have applied and are accepted.

  • The participant should be able to attend all or most of the classes

Intro to Kabbalah and Chassidic thought

This class will explore the deeper realms of Torah thought as developed by the kabbalah masters and the later mystical teachings of Chassidic thought.  

This class will be taught in an engaging and accessible manner, and is open to Jews of any level of prior learning.
